What's New in 2024-2025:
  • This year’s drone competition introduces an autonomous period! For this segment, drones must operate independently based on pre-programmed instructions. Teams without programmable drones will not be able to participate in the autonomous period.
Helpful Tips:
  • Spare Propellers: Drone propellers can be fragile and prone to damage or loss. We recommend purchasing spare propellers for a seamless competition experience.
  • Extra Batteries: Drone batteries offer flight times of around 5 minutes. Having spare batteries on hand is invaluable during practice and competition.
  • Choosing Between Tello Edu and CoDrone:
    • Tello Edu: Known for its ease of control, the Tello Edu is a great option for those starting out. This drone is not programmable and will not qualify for the autonomous period, limiting participation in this key segment.
    • CoDrone Edu: While slightly more complex, the CoDrone Edu's programmability makes it an exciting choice. The CoDrone Edu teaches valuable fundamentals of coding, offering participants a great opportunity to gain practical experience and build skills that can open doors to future opportunities.
